Before beginning this week I planned out what module I wanted to work on each of the days. I did this to combat my lack of productivity last week due to being indecisive about which topic to work on each day and just ending up procrastinating. I found the daily planning very helpful this week and definitely think its something I will continue with in the following weeks. I still wasn't as productive as I wanted to be this week due to health issues but I'm planning on catching up next week as much as I can. I started with my plan of refining the block out in sections, starting from the kitchen. The main idea was to refine the furniture and work on the smaller assets after the entire block out is refined. I started with the built in kitchen, using my pureref documents and adding to them where there were gaps in my references.

I worked my way through, working from my block out adding the required detail to my assets. Even though my block out was pretty solid there were still some size adjustments to make throughout.

One of the main sizing adjustments was making the sink bigger than I first thought it was and adjusting the other furniture around that. The main piece I struggled with refining in this section was the fridge. I am still quite unhappy with the shape of it as I know the corners are much more rounded however I decided to move on from it for now and return to it later.

When I had a decent amount of assets done I imported them into unreal and I was really happy with the way they looked in engine.

I put the ceiling back on the model to get a photo of how the lighting from inside was looking. I need to do more research on how to effectively light unreal environments as in my scene there are lots of ceiling lights and lamps so want to make sure they're all used efficiently and effectively.

I am still using my Trello board to track the tasks I need to prioritise, I have moved my complete boards, the preproduction and block out boards to the end, to keep the things left to do at the front to keep them the focus.

One problem I had this week was loss of some work, this was my own fault and would've been helped if I had pushed my last work session on GitHub before starting working again on the same files. I now know to push after every session even if I'm not moving between devices.

After feeling a bit behind this week I have a solid plan for next week and days I know that I can give environment art my whole focus. My plan is to work on planning my trim sheets from the lessons this week and get caught up with that, and to mainly work on refining another section of assets in my environment. I'm planning on finishing refining the main living space (the section next to the kitchen, not including the raised floor section) but if I have time I will hopefully finish all the furniture assets by the end of the week, however this is more of a stretch goal so I will see where I can get up to.
