After finishing off refining the block out of the kitchen, I worked my way into the main living space. The shapes are still pretty rough however it does give a much clearer impression than just the various cubes. I haven't started working on details in this space just because I wanted to get a more clear overview quicker without worrying about smaller specifics like handles, however I did try my best to stick to the built in details like the intricate legs of the coffee and side tables.

Throughout I used the scale man for size reference, I found this useful when having to resize the couch and armchair, since after looking at my references they were a bit bigger than I wanted.

I made sure to regularly update my assets in unreal. I feel like seeing them in this environment also helped me realise when something was wrongly sized.

As I made my way around the assets I was keeping an idea of the next steps of the assets. For example, I know alot of the side tables have intricate details on that might need to be sculpted in zbrush, the same for the big bookshelf.

There was a week four progress submission deadline, for this I took some high resolution screenshots of my scene. From my goals last week I very nearly managed to do my 'stretch goal' of finishing refining all of the furniture assets, I have three quite small ones left to-do.

I continued using my Trello board and my Git repository. I still find my Trello helping me keep on track and my planned days has also helped alot as well.

This week I also looked more into trim sheets, the main ideas I have for using a trim sheet is either for the doors in my environment, and also the backdrops I will have outside my windows that I want to have the impression of being 3d but may not have the time to sculpt properly.
Next week I will start by finishing refining the last few assets and then start planning out some textures. My scene has alot of individual textures and so I will probably spend some time creating a Pureref full of them for me to reference throughout and to help me plan how many I have, what to prioritise and what's so similar that I may be able to repeat some patterns. I will also keep going through and refining my assets even more.
