I started by finishing any existing texturing on the exterior like the guttering and fence. I also remeshed the head of my defender plant using quad draw in maya, since the original sculpt was done in zbrush and had alot of polygons. I decided instead of remeshing the orginal tentacles I would just re-sculpt them in maya since I thought it would take less time and there wasn't much details in the original tentacles anyway. I baked the high poly head onto the low poly headI . I also imported some of my sculpted plants from maya and started working on textures for them.

I textured the heads in substance painter.

I finished texturing my defender plant and changed the plane under the shop to a circular platform and gave it a basic designer floor texture. I went around fixing some uvs and started working on putting the shop name on the from of the shop.

I used stencilling in substance painter and just created a worn painted texture as the backing.

When everything texture and model wise was done I started capturing my beauty shots. I did these first so I knew what kind of things I wanted to include in my fly through.

Finally, I started working on my fly through. I found the process a bit difficult just from never having done it before but after doing some research and learning a bit more about the sequencer and where I was going wrong I managed to finish it.

Fly through included below -

To conclude the project I've been thinking about what went well, what I want to improve and what I've learned over the project.

What went well:

- I am happy with the overall design of the shop especially the defended plant that I think looks quite effective.

- I think the tillable green wood texture I created is pretty good and probably the best texture that is included.

- I am quite happy with my blog, i feel like it got a but briefer towards the last few weeks just due to running out of time and rushing things and forgetting to capture moments but I think I started out quite strong with it.

What I would improve:

- I need to manage my time better so I am not burning myself out and then not feeling able to do work for some time.

- I need to plan within my means. The majority of things I've done in this project have been completely new to me and some very hard to grasp and should have considered that at the beginning when planning what to do, I did alot of modelling when I should have considered I'm going to have to texture all of this when I really didn't have much experience or knowledge of texturing.

- My uving, I think some of my uving went well but there are some assets or sections that have visible seams which I'm not happy with but ran out of time to fix.

What I've learnt:

- I learnt alot about substance designer considering I hadn't even heard of it before this project. Its something I definitely need to practice more but I think I did a decent amount of learning these last few weeks.

- I learnt quite a bit about uving and techniques for uving for tillable textures. Even though I finished with some uv issues I think I've improved alot during this project.

- I've had a decent introduction to unreal engine and smaller parts of it like the sequencer for the flythrough.
